The Education Workforce Council (EWC) is seeking a new Chief Executive. As a well-established entity, EWC offers the right candidate the chance to shape its future and collaborate with its dedicated team to provide the leadership necessary for the education workforce in Wales.
Their vision is to be a trusted independent, professional regulator that works in the public interest to maintain professionalism and enhance standards within the education workforce in Wales. They regulate education practitioners across schools, further education, youth work, and adult/work-based learning.
The Chief Executive will be responsible for leading the EWC’s strategy, operations, and staff, overseeing regulatory functions, and engaging with stakeholders to further the EWC’s aims.
EWC is seeking candidates with significant senior level experience in the professional regulatory sector, education sector, or wider public sector, and experience of working with the Welsh Government.
Welsh language skills are desirable for this post.
