Permanent role

Ofcom is looking for a confident Welsh language communicator to lead its social media activity for Welsh speaking audiences.

The organisation is already active on social media in Welsh, alongside its English social media channels. But is looking to increase its reach with Welsh speakers - telling the story of how Ofcom is working to support people and businesses across Wales.

Ofcom is proud of its commitment to promoting the Welsh language. This role will help ensure it continues to meet its Welsh language requirements, while serving Welsh speakers with creative content that's tailored for their needs.
So, the organisation is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced digital communicator with a passion for social media, and a strong interest in online developments and the wider news landscape.

High-quality, reliable communications services have never mattered more to people's lives. And it's Ofcom's job to help make sure people have access to these services, wherever they are in the UK. The industries Ofcom regulates are changing fast, making this an exciting time to join the team.

This is a role for which the ability to speak Welsh is essential. Ofcom welcomes applications in Welsh and the interview for this role will be held in Welsh.

Diversity and Inclusion

Ofcom is a forward-thinking, inclusive employer and recognises the value of diversity to truly "make communications work for everyone". The organisation welcomes applications from suitably qualified applicants whatever their background, especially women, disabled and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic background candidates as they are currently under-represented in its workforce. As a Disability Confident employer it guarantees to interview any disabled applicant who meets the essential selection criteria.

Ofcom has an agile working model allowing it to have a location-neutral approach to filling its roles. It also supports flexible ways of working, wherever possible. Colleagues are free to move around all its offices, enabling them to work alongside and collaborate with other teams and groups. These initiatives help Ofcom colleagues to work flexibly in way that supports them.
