This is an exciting opportunity to join the Marie Curie Senior Management Team to take forward its strong policy and public affairs reputation in Wales as the Charity seeks to deliver against a renewed vision.  Its ambition is to become recognised as the thought leader in end of life care, to have an impact on the wider end of life experience with social inclusion underpinning all its work.

The Role

  • Lead the Charity's influencing work in Wales as it seeks to secure change which addresses inequality of access and quality of end of life care and experience in Wales.
  • To be a public face for the Charity's work in Wales.
  • Part of a team producing evidence based analysis of issues impacting on the experience people have at the end of their lives.

The Person

  • An experienced policy and public affairs professional with a strong track record of influencing at the most senior levels across government, elected representatives and public services.
  • The ability to get messages across in all forms of media and to a wide range of audiences.
  • A strong understanding of how Wales works, its policy drivers and how these impact on people’s lives.
