Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is looking to appoint a new Director of Corporate Governance who will play a key role in protecting and enhancing the reputation of the UHB.

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is one of the largest Integrated Health Boards in the UK, serving a population of around 500,000 in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. Employing over 16,000 staff and providing over 100 specialist services, the Health Board is a complex organisation focused on serving the health and care needs of its local population.

The Director of Corporate Governance will lead the ongoing development of a governance and assurance framework for the organisation, ensuring that it meets the standards of good governance set for the NHS in Wales.

They will be an individual with political acumen and a proven track record who can provide inspirational and innovative leadership to the Health Board. They will play a key role in the senior leadership team and with the Board to deliver the UHB's strategy and vision of ensuring that a person's chance of leading a healthy life should be the same wherever they live and whoever they are.
