This is a new role at Welsh National Opera, taking the lead on generating income from individual giving building on existing foundations to establish a structure and culture that inspires, supports and connects with major donors across the Company. This is a new role at Welsh National Opera, taking the lead on generating income from individual giving, with a specific focus on major gifts, building on existing foundations to establish a structure and culture that inspires, supports and connects with major donors across the Company. The role is responsible for developing and executing the individual giving strategy from first-time gifts to memberships and major gifts and will manage three colleagues to achieve this in collaboration with the Director of Development, Strategy and External relations.

The key responsibilities are:

Philanthropy - Prospecting, Cultivation and Fundraising

  • To work in collaboration with the Director of Development, Strategy & External Relations to set a 3-5 year income target and develop the giving strategy
  • To develop and manage cultivation, stewardship and solicitation strategies for prospects across the individual giving strategy
  • To develop he involvement of colleagues in the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major donors
  • To monitor, evaluate and report on individual giving KPIs and provide reports for the team, SMT and Board.

Administration

  • Work the team and WNO department colleagues to create fundraising assets and materials that communicate the case for support
  • Monitor progress against plans, including financial reconciliation and projections, and regular forecast meetings with the Director of Development, Strategy and External Relations
  • Build effective relationships across all WNO departments

People Management

  • Manage, motivate and develop three team members in a way that creates and efficient, inventive, productive and collaborative team
  • Provide line management support including regular 1:1 meetings, appraisals, objective setting and person development support
  • Understand and contribute to wider departmental and organisational strategy

General Duties

  • To cooperate with WNO in complying with relevant health and safety legislation, polices and procedures in the performance of the post.
  • To ensure with WNO policies and procedures at all times
  • Undertake any other duties and responsibilities that may be reasonably expected and required.

  • Gweithio ar y cyd â'r Cyfarwyddwr Datblygu, Strategaeth a Chysylltiadau Allanol i osod targed incwm 3 i 5 blwyddyn a datblygu'r strategaeth rhoddion
  • Datblygu a rheoli strategaethau twf, stiwardiaeth a deisyfu ar gyfer rhagolygon ar draws y strategaeth rhoddion unigol
  • Datblygu cyfranogiad cydweithwyr wrth dyfu, deisyfu a stiwardio rhoddwyr mawr
  • Monitro, gwerthuso ac adrodd ar ddangosyddion perfformiad allweddol rhoddion unigol a chyflwyno adroddiadau i'r tîm, yr Uwch Dîm Rheoli a'r Bwrdd.

Gweinyddiaeth

  • Gweithio gyda chydweithwyr tîm ac adran WNO i greu asedau a deunyddiau codi arian sy'n cyfathrebu'r achos dros gymorth
  • Monitro cynnydd yn erbyn cynlluniau, gan gynnwys cysyniadau a rhagamcanion ariannol, a chyfarfodydd rhagweld rheolaidd gyda'r Cyfarwyddwr Datblygu, Strategaeth a Chysylltiadau Allanol
  • Meithrin cysylltiadau effeithiol ar draws holl adrannau WNO

Rheoli Pobl

  • Rheoli, ysgogi a datblygu tri aelod o'r tîm mewn ffordd sy'n creu tîm cydweithredol cynhyrchiol, arloesol ac effeithlon
  • Cynnig cymorth rheolaeth llinell gan gynnwys cyfarfodydd un-i-un rheolaidd, arfarniadau, gosod amcanion a chymorth datblygiad personol
  • Deall a chyfrannu at strategaeth sefydliadol ac adrannol ehangach
